Love has always been my favorite emotion.
That started off extremely cheesy, but that’s just what I am and, well, this blog just is what it is: a hodgepodge of everything I love–from art in its various forms to this life I’m enjoying, which our main Artist has crafted so well.
This blog is also my home. It’s a reflection of a home I’ve built inside of me, apart from the outside world we live in. This home is quaint with wooden floors and pastel walls, a few bundles of tiny flowers here and there to add just the right touch to every corner, and big windows to allow plenty of light in. I like keeping things light, bright and beautiful. You will feel cozy thanks to that pink, furry rug under your toes I probably got from a surplus shop, while sipping hot chocolate or coffee from a cup with pretty florals that add a nice, charming touch. You will never feel cold, thanks to the sweaters and cardigans I will lend you, in neutrals or in brighter shades even your grandmama would love. Here, you will always feel welcome because my home is a few clicks away from where you are.
Love Letters by Mayee is where I can allow the newfound artist in me to run free, as I used to live not believing that art does, in fact, make the world go round (and breathtaking). Here, you get to read about the things my hands have created–calligraphy works, amateur watercolor paintings, and merchandise I will share–and other things that have caught my fancy. Admittedly, I’m not the best at what I do, but it keeps me happy and that’s what’s important to me. I hope you’re happy everyday, too.
Now that you have witnessed a preview of my tiny home, I hope to see you next time! Maybe then we can share more conversations over arts and crafts. Don’t be shy if you want to drop me a message. Feel free to ask me anything–where I got the pens and brushes cozied up in a glass jar sitting comfortably on my study table, the cheapest art and office supplies downtown, how I like my coffee (although that has already been answered here) or what I love doing on Saturdays. I would gladly answer to the best of my abilities. 😉
I’d love to overshare some more, but I need to keep these thoughts for future blog posts. Happy to have you here!
